Epping Forest is an ancient forest landscape stretching 13 miles from urban Manor Park to Epping. It is London’s largest open space and home to 50,000 ancient trees, 100 ponds, deer, wildlife and a mosaic of habitats. The Forest has provided a much valued recreation destination for Londoners for centuries, and has sites of historic interest ranging from Iron Age forts to a Tudor hunt standing and Victorian retreats.
We offer two learning sessions at Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge, ‘Looking at a Tudor Building’ for key stage 1 and ‘Tudor Times’ for key stage 2. Partner organisations provide a wide range of learning for all key stages on environmental topics in the Forest. Charges for sessions are set by each provider.
