The City’s gardens are managed and maintained by the City Gardens Team, which has its own team of gardeners who work to maintain the horticultural standards and everyday upkeep of the City’s green spaces. The network of gardens, churchyards, parks, plazas and highway planting across the City of London are there to be enjoyed by residents, workers and visitors alike as well as an important habitat for wildlife within the urban landscape.

The City Gardens Team has a history of working closely with local schools, helping to improve the gardens’ wildlife as well as improve the local environment. In the past, students have worked with us on projects such creating wildlife areas, planting tree whips, planting Festival Gardens and running competitions.
