The Museum of London Archaeological Archive, in Hackney, offers students the chance to get hands-on with real artefacts from excavations in London. It is the world’s largest archive of this sort, with records and artefacts from over 3,500 archaeological sites, providing primary evidence for prehistoric, Roman and Anglo-Saxon London.

Students visiting the archive can discover London’s archaeology, investigate real excavations and artefacts, and develop analysis and enquiry skills. Our sessions are cross-curricular to include Geography, Science and Technology as well as History.
